Fuerteventura
Zoo is commonly known as OASIS PARK La Lajitas. It is
situated in the south of the Island, around a 1 and a half hour
drive from Corralejo.
It is well
worth a visit and if you are not hiring a car it would be a
could idea to find a tour office and book an excursion.
There are many
shows that include sea lions, snakes, crocodiles parrots (for
the little ones!) bird of prey and camel rides for the daring!
There are many animals besides these mentioned including
Hippopotamuses, Giraffes and over 200 different species of
birds (although that is hear say as I did not count them
all!)
There are a
couple of Spanish Restaurants that are very good value for
money, They do not have "inflated" tourist prices, which
we thought was a novelty compared to most attractions.
For those that
only have a Dial up connection you will have to be content with
the pictures on this page (although you can click on the
thumbnails to enlarge them) and those dotted around the site of
Fuerteventura Apartments.
